| Sigh (8 min.) presents a theme and variations on the general idea of communication and juxtaposes our often-futile utilization of advanced audio technology with the simple act of listening. | ||||||||||||||

Hush (7 min.) is a meditative response to a world in turmoil. The material for this piece was taped in the White Mountains. Sound sources include the song of rainforest tree frogs, Edison cylinder recordings and homemade recordio disks, as well as messages spelled out in morse code: “open your windows” a shortwave radio entreaty to listen and “imagine peace” the mantra coined by Yoko Ono. |
